Samsung designed Transparent Windows LCD to be used for a wide range of purposes, from exhibition displays to subway platform doors, information windows, electronic signs and much more. Usage of transparent display is limitless and only bounds by the imagination.
It comes with transparent display and a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. It boasts a contrast ratio of 4500:1. It features a transparency of around 15 to 20 percent and a 70 percent color gamut. It is designed in two sizes: 46-inch and 22-inch.
Technically transparent LCDs are different from regular LCDs.
As a light source, regular LCDs need BLUs (Back Light Units) to display an image on LCDs. LCD panel doesn’t work without BLUs because nothing would be visible without a light source. Former lacks BLUs is a basic difference between transparent and regular LCDs. It uses other light sources like sunlight, in-door lighting etc.
